Welcome to the fourth day of Book Lovers Inc Advent Calendar. Each day we will offer you one great read in a giveaway on all 24 days till Christmas.

Today you will have the chance to win a copy of Settling. It’s a YA novel that totally rocked my world. This book will make you scream for more.

Purchasing Info: Author’s Website, Amazon, Goodreads

Book Blurb:

At the beginning of the summer, Clio Kaid was one of a hundred teens brought to a secret Army installation.
But it was no ordinary camp and they weren’t ordinary kids…

Soon after learning they were the products of a secret genetic experiment, the teens began developing super-abilities ranging from bounding lightness to blocking heaviness; blinding brilliance and the ability to vanish. These same gifts made them targets of a psychopath in officer’s clothing, and they found themselves fighting for their lives.

Picking up where “Solid” left off, Clio and her friends realize that they aren’t ready to go home; they’re determined to stay on campus and continue their journey of self- discovery. But someone doesn’t feel the same way and will do anything to drive them away – even kill.

Friendships will be tested, abilities will evolve, and more secrets will come out as the teens race to stop the killer before he sets his sights on one of them…

The Review:
O.M.G O.M.G. O.M.G. !!! I love this series! *takes a deep breath * Seriously, I love this series! I know this phrase gets used a lot. But really, I just can’t stop myself from reading it. The more and more I read, the more questions I have. Then more things progress in the characters. The more I end up with more questions. The more possibilities that pop up. Key word….. MORE! Read the rest of the review.

Wel, this is the first time I have heard about this series, and it certainly intrigues me. My funnies holiday memory? Hmm. a simple one. One Christmas my mother put Christmas cookies in the tree, and the dog ate them. She could just reach the lower and middle branches, so only a few were left for the children to eat 😉

We still talk about this every year because it was so honest. 20 years ago we were all opening gifts at my in-laws house. Everyone was getting what they had asked for. Then it was my father in-laws turn. He picked up and box and opened it. His face went blank. He then said, totally deadpan, “Oh boy, shirts.” We all laughed so hard we cried. That was not the box he was suppossed to open. My mother in-law had put the shirts in a gift box just to have extra boxes under the tree! I wish we had the moment on video.

I also have never heard of this series but it sounds good.
Funniest holiday memory was when my 4 yr old son wore his uncles shoes home Christmas Eve and the Uncle had to go home barefoot :). It was very cold and snowy.

This is the first I have read of this author but the books sounds great.
My funniest holiday memory is probably when my daughter first learned about santa claus and when she got up that morning and saw all the presents for her…the look on her face was so funny and of course I thought it was because she had a bunch of presents but instead she asked us, “Did santa steal anything when he broke in here to leave this stuff for us?” lol
    lol lol

Well there was the time we literally stuffed ourselves with food and it felt like we were waddling around lol. Food and celebrations sort of go together.

Don’t read much YA, but this sounds like a great read.
My husband was deathly afraid of spiders and I gave him a LARGE wooden hammer that had ‘spider smasher’ burned into the head. Everyone roared at the look on his face when he opened it.

this series sounds awesome – a bit like the tv series dark angel (i loved it).
funniest holiday memory? well as a kid i really found it funny when someone i knew (like my uncle or my aunt once XD)) dressed up as santa clause and brought us presents. i love those memories ^^

    Yay – more YA novels.

Funniest holiday memory? Ooh boy. Hmm. Last year my then 2.5 year old nephew survived the visit of Santa Clause, whom my cousin played, so after Santa Clause was gone, my cousin entered the scene and my nephew was all over him asking him if he met Santa Clause outside and if he saw reindeers and what and everyone was cracking up at the table, while my cousin made up some good stories for my nephew.

Thank you all so much for checking out my series!
And of course I’ve got to weigh in with a holiday memory 🙂
When my son was 3 we got him a car track for Christmas; I stayed up until 1 a.m. building the track and the little buildings and putting on all those ridiculously tiny stickers!
So he wakes up in the morning and races into the living room where it’s all beautifully displayed with cars on the track and all, skids to a stop in front of it and says, “I don’t get to unwrap it???”
    Happy Holidays everyone! Shelley 😉

my funniest story is the year I made my dad his favorite cookie. He loved peanut butter cookies and always swore I made them better than anyone which was very flattering to me since I cook only so so lol But I worked all day right before xmas cooking cookies for him. I filled one of the big sweater boxes plumb to the brim with them and wrapped it for him. He took one look and headed for his bedroom with them to hide them. Everyone asked him what he got and his wife made him show her and of course all the kiddos wanted one and he did let each of them have one and then hid the rest. It was too funny. But he said that he couldn’t get me to make them as often as he liked.

umm… I don’t think I have one. Ohh, perhaps that time when we rushed back home for a variety TV show (that you can’t buy online) and we discovered it was over.

I don’t have anything too funny-maybe the time my mom decided to buy my sister and I a dog and proceeded to wrap her-she was chewing through the wrapping when we came downstairs 🙂 edysicecreamlover18@gmailDOTcom Thank you for the chance to win!
