Description:

Sizzle by Jennifer Crusie

Business takes a backseat when successful ad executive Emily Tate meets Richard Parker. He’s an accountant who’s been sent to keep her in line and under budget in her ad campaign for a sensual new perfume called Sizzle. And if Emily’s not careful, she could well melt in Richard’s hands.

Too Fast to Fall by Victoria Dahl

For Jenny Stone, driving is her escape-from her past, her problems, her quiet life in Jackson Hole. But after Deputy Nate Hendricks stops her-again-for speeding, she could lose more than just her license. She could lose her heart. Nate seems to think that Jenny should replace her love for fast driving with something even more…heart pumping. And despite her need for speed, Jenny’s never been one for defying the law.

Alone With You by Shannon Stacey

When waitress Darcy Vaughan’s friend asks her to help out with the launch of a fledgling restaurant, she’s happy to oblige. Little does she know the owner is Jake Holland, the perfect guy who slipped through her fingers after their one night of passion. But for Darcy and Jake, one touch was just not enough.

With the shorter list of new release titles this week, hopefully there will be more time left to actually read! ^_^ You’ll notice the selection is rather heavy on the romance, with only a handful of titles that are more geared to other areas of genre fiction. But of those, we’ve got the latest book in Kim Harrison’s The Hollows series, Ever After, and the offbeat wild-west steampunk, The Six-Gun Tarot by R.S. Belcher (billed as “Buffy meets Deadwood“).

But then, there are some potential romance gems in this bunch, including the featured title, the anthology Be Mine by Jennifer Crusie, Victoria Dahl and Shannon Stacey (yep, the same Shannon Stacey who has another book release this week. Busy lady!). Perfect preparation for Valentine’s Day.

. . .

Slimmer selection this week, but has something stood out all the more for it?  And I’m curious: to Romance or not to Romance…do you need your genre fic to have romantic elements, or do you prefer they do not?

Be Mine sounds good. I hadn’t heard of that one before, so thanks. Topping this week’s list for me is Ever After; Kim Harrison is a must-read for me.

I have to admit to mostly bying those authors I already collect and love to read. I am not so often tempted by new authors, or new series. But when I do I just buy the whole series at once. Which is why my shelves are overflowing.
This week, Kim Harrison is the one I want.

I usually need romance in my books but I’ve made exceptions for very awesome books/series (E.g. the Dresden Files).
I’m getting the new Shannon Stacey audiobook this week. And well the TOP release for me is Ever After. It’s gonna be hard to top that for a while. Pure awesomeness
