So join in on the fun and be sure to stay tuned to the end of the photo tour for Giveaway information!

About Viv:

Vivian Arend in one word: Adventurous. In a sentence: Willing to try just about anything once. That wide-eyed attitude has taken her around North America, through parts of Europe, and into Central and South America, often with no running water.

Her optimistic outlook also meant that when challenged to write a book, she gave it a shot, and discovered creating worlds to play in was nearly as addictive as traveling the real one. Now a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of both contemporary and paranormal stories, Vivian continues to explore, write and otherwise keep herself well entertained.

LIFELINE: an elite search-and-rescue squad based out of Banff, Alberta. Specializing in high-risk rescue missions, this team goes wherever the job takes them…

Rebecca James was once revered for her devil-may-care attitude and backcountry survival skills. But ever since she lost her partner in a fatal accident, patches of her memory have been missing. And until she can recall those final, tragic moments before the accident, she can’t move on.

Since Marcus Landers was permanently injured during a mission, all his energies have been focused on his Lifeline team. When Becki—whom he had an intense affair with seven years ago—arrives in Banff, he’s inspired to reignite the spark they once had. Their mutual ardor slowly awakens Becki’s dormant, haunting memories.

New truths surface until Becki must at last confront her greatest fear. Remembering the past might mean a future without the man she loves…

It was an amazing trip, only I didn’t include the picture of the wet dog or the camper stuck in the sand. 😉

We flew to Anchorage, rented a car for 10 days and went to the Kenai Peninsula and to Valdez. I always wanted to live in Alaska, it’s such an amazing place, and I’d still like to drive the Alaska highway someday.

I love travelling and try to do it as much as time & money allow… would you adopt me & take me with you on your trips?? As of June, I’ll have a doctorate, I’m multilingual, I come fully grown (and raised well, if I do say so myself), I can drive, and I have an adventurous spirit :).

    Cannot wait for HIGH RISK!

    • Vivian Arend February 27, 2013 at 7:18 pm

LOL! I will say that most of our trips have been -very- inexpensive. Lots of camping, hiking and otherwise self-propelled through the wilderness. That helps keep down the costs.

      Hope you enjoy High Risk!

Your pictures are lovely. Camping & hiking would be a great way to explore and travel. I could not do it any longer due to problems with my back, hip, & legs. These pictures definitely help me picture where the Wolfies live 🙂

  • aurian February 28, 2013 at 12:16 pm

Another great tour stop, I love looking at your pics Vivian! And that poor doggy, not getting dry for so long. Curious where you will be next 🙂

  • Diah Didi March 4, 2013 at 11:59 am

Oh wow, I loved your pictures, and how it told us stories. Do you like scrap-booking by the way? I enjoy seeing people’s works but never tried to do it.
Never been to Alaska. Correction, never been to America. But I guess you can experience the adventure anywhere, right. Although still, my family has never been on this kind of trip. Somehow you inspire me to do so.
Can’t wait to read High-Risk. It’s on its way and will be my very first book of yours.
Thank you so much for the giveaway. ^^
