I’ve been reading all sorts of speculative fiction recently which presents issues when it comes to actual places we could virtually visit for this week (it’s hard to find real pics of post-apocalyptic Earth, right?). I hit up my best friend, Mel at He Followed Me Home for an idea. She gave me inspiration in the form of Stolen (A letter to my captor) by Lucy Christopher. I’ve included the book trailer here for more info (since I personally haven’t read the book) and then our tour begins. It looks like another stunning place I have yet to visit. Enjoy!
We are very happy to have author Kerry Greenwood here today. She write a mystery series about her extraordinary heroine Phryne Fischer and the next addition to this series will be out this October. Please give her a warm welcome.
The Lit Lover: Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Kerry: I was born in Footscray in Australia in winter so long ago that word processors were called typewriters. I was the story teller of my family and have been telling stories ever since. I started writing novels for fun, to beguile the boredom of studying law at Melbourne University. There I met the love of my life, David Greagg, a wandering mathematician and wizard. He stayed and I kept writing novels through a carrer which included a lot of strange jobs and finally employment by the Legal Aid Commission. I …

A New Jersey library removes all copies of Revolutionary Voices: A Multicultural Queer Youth Anthology. Despite the fact there was no good reason why this happened the the library director used child porn as an excuse. The ACLU have found out that a rightwing conservative group contacted the Library director to remove all copies even though there was no formal challenge was filed to the library. The matter is now being investigated by the ACLU.

I received this book as a review copy from the publisher through netgalley.Book Blurb:
Few outsiders will ever witness the dark misdeeds of the Heavenly Host. And among this secret society, where exiled Georgian aristocrats gather to indulge their carnal
desires, fewer still can match the insatiable appetite of their chief provocateur, the mysterious Viscount Rohan.
Pursuit of physical pleasure is both his preferred pastime and his most pressing urge, until he encounters the fascination of a woman who won’t be swayed. And while
his dark seduction appalls the pure and impoverished Elinor Harriman, she finds herself intrigued…and secretly drawn to the man behind the desire.

We are really happy to have author Devyn Quinn here today. Siren’s Call, the first book in her Dark Tides Series cam out this week and she is here today to talk about her new series and to celebrate her new release. Please give Devyn a warm welcome.
The Geeky Lover: Devyn, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Devyn: I live in the scenic Southwest, though I have called several other states home. I am a huge fan of dark gothic music & shoot-’em-up action movies. But reading is my first love and I spend too much time with history books, as well as feeding my addiction for celebrity biographies. I especially enjoy reading books on Hollywood before the 1960′s and I’m crazy about Marilyn Monroe, her legend and her myth.
