Book Blurb:

A decadent-looking savage has captured Francesca DuVall and her brother, Marsh. Now she must spend every waking moment planning an escape. She didn’t count on the powerful draw of desire interfering with her scheme in the camp of the brutal Cheyenne dog soldiers.
Ethan Gray is a curator at a national museum…most of the time, but when he travels through time to help his beloved People he becomes Meko, leader of the most revered and feared tribe of the plains. Although their worlds are decades apart Meko can’t resist the dark beauty he kidnapped during a raid. He has many battles to fight but none he wants to win more than the one that will capture Cesca’s heart forever.
From the windswept plains of Colorado and the harsh life of a Dog Soldier to the placid life of a curator their love was fueled by passion and kindled by destiny.
My Thoughts:
A heart warming story that takes you through the ups and downs of a true love determined to survive no matter what gets in its way.
Where the Rain is Made I have to say had me on a roller coaster the entire time. We are taken back to a time when life is a struggle just to survive from day to day, man against man, race against race. And doing everything in your power to keep what is yours.
Meko is a Time Wanderer who must go on missions to save his people through history. I have truly enjoyed Meko’s character, and watching the burden he must carry knowing parts of the future, and things he must do to make sure his people survive. To see him wander through life, and all the different times to do what needs to be done to save his people. No matter what. A true unspoken hero. He has a very strong will to do what he must, a character that any women and tribe would be proud to have.
Cesca…..*shakes head* her overall character was okay for me. There were so many times I wanted to reach into my book and slap some sense into the women. I didn’t think she would ever make up her mind if she wanted Meko in her life, or if he was still her enemy. One minute she would be all happy and in love, then the next minute something would go wrong and she’d turn on Meko as if he was still the enemy. Now, part of me understands as Meko and his people WERE the enemy to Cesca and Marsh in the beginning, but later time you just need to let things go. In the end Cescas character has really made this a wonderful story, and is part of the reason I couldn’t put this book down!
There are 2 other character that just snagged me from the begging, and that would be Marsh (Cesca’s brother) and Brown Wing who is kind of like a mother to Meko. Brown Wing stepped up and helped Cesca out from the get go, even though Cesca was the enemy to her. A true friendship is born, and anyone in their right mind would give anything to have a friendship and love like that in their life. And Marsh, such a proud powerful warrior he turned out to be. No matter what hell they put him through, he learns his place in the world and comes out being the warrior he is meant to be.I thoroughly enjoyed Marsh’s character and hope to see more of him in the future.
Overall this has been an excellent read for me.It gives you a glimpse….a hard truthful glimpse into the way life was before we knew it. What demons, races struggled against just for the freedom of life, and to keep what is theirs. Action packed, full of love, hate, the unbelievable, the unmistakable. Keta has done a wonderful job, and I really do hope she continues on and gives us more of this story!

I give Where the Rain is Made 4out of 5 Bookies!
