Like we decided a few weeks ago we will now choose our favorite covers with a special theme for the next few editions of “The Good, the Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me?” and tell you why we chose them. It would be awesome if you could tell us which cover with this theme is your favorite and perhaps we will all find some new to us cover candies we can obsess about.
Today we will try to find our favorite Angels and/or Demons covers and you guys can vote in the comments who’s selection you like best .(Even if I already know you all prefer Susi *pouts*) We had this fight…ahem… discussion for quite some time now and we think we finally need to proclaim a winner.

So please help us and tell us what you think about our selection.

Caroline’s choice:

Caroline: To be fair, I haven’t read any of these books but I know I want to! I really love the cover of A Witch’s Beauty. I never thought I’d ever say I could love a cover with a what…octopus woman? LOL I don’t even know what she is but I’m loving it. Her pose, the hair in the wind…I find it beautiful. The guy’s wings are a bit cliché but well, he’s pretty enough so i forgive him the weird wings. Anyone read this one? Me WANTS!
the Demon Blood cover is soooo pretty. She is really badass and there’s movement, you can see her wings moving. (no I didn’t smoke anything I promise!). I think it’s the best cover in the series.
Now, talking about amazing cover, Archangel’s Consort is really my favorite. The purple wings are just made of awesome. I love her hair too by the way. This cover screams READ ME, TOUCH ME to me (ok maybe not the last part…or I shouldn’t confess it lol). If I had to choose only 1, it would be Archangel’s Consort.
Ah! In the end I ended up with 3 angel covers =P

Susi: I really love Joey’s writing- I adore her as a person but this is such a fugly cover I don’t know where to start. First her tentacles are disgusting. Ewwwwwww. I think tentacles are an absolute no go for me if you aren’t Davie Jones or Purple Tentacle. Not very pretty. And where are her boobies? Yes I sound like a man but seriously makes me feel all wrong when the woman on the cover looks like a man. I agree about the wings and the men making up for it. Still want to read this book though. Joey’s writing rocks so even a bad cover won’t hold me back.
I really like the Demon Blood cover. She really looks bad ass and she has pretty wings for a change. And I agree, I love that she seems to be in motion. Her hair gives her such a wild demeanor. I also love the colors: the title in red gives it a little extra. Me wants Archangel’s Consort and I want to touch it too. *raises the hand for being a book cover perv* I love the purple and I would have never thought that it would look that good combine with green. Her eyes are awesome and her hair is dream-worthy. I could stare at this cover all day. Me wants. I really need my Raphael fix and yes it is weird that I think of him even though he isn’t on the cover. I would have chosen this one too but someone was faster. *sticks tongue out*
Caroline: LMAO Ah come ON, tentacles are sexy! Bwahaha Her ‘boobies’ are hidden delicately behind her clothes. Don’t be such a man! LOL You’re just jealous she doesn’t need a bra=P (I feel like saying: Nia nia nia)
Susi: Pah…but my boobs are prettier…oki that is totally TMI. LOL
Caroline: LOL no no I agree LMAO <===yes now people will think I’ve seen your boobs!
Susi: Which she actually hasn’t, not that I know of…is that camera really offline. *looks around suspiciously*
Caroline: Sure, I haven’t…that you know of *evil grin*

Susi’s Choice:

Susi: I have to admit I didn’t like and Falling, fly much. It made me feel stupid because most of the time I wasn’t sure what happened in this book but the cover is just made of awesome. I love the stance of the model and I really need to know where she got that corsage from. I like that the background give her these wings but also poses the question if they are hers or if they belong to the background. It reflects how this book feels. You are never sure what to believe and the cover represents this for me. I also like the title and font. Very intriguing to try something new for a change. Love that idea.
Archangel’s Kiss is a real kick ass cover. I love it to pieces even though I have to admit that now Archangel’s Consort is probably my favorite in this series. I love the way her hair is in contrast to her wings and the background is just perfect. Makes me want to go on vacation. And I love the leather. Great cover.
I completely adore the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead and this cover is my absolute favorite. Succubus Shadows does nearly everything right for me. I love the way the model looks at you and how her eyes have this devilish gleam. Again she wears leather and as you can see I like that very much. I like that the background is so misty and even more that we find that in the books too. The only thing I don’t really like is that the model doesn’t look like I pictured Georgina. I don’t imagine her as looking that fierce. For me she will always be the nice girl with a big heart and I don’t think she would look like that, being Succubus and all.
Caroline: I haven’t read any of those books either O_o…What’s wrong with me? Ah! lol But that doesn’t mean I don’t have 2 out of 3 on my shelves lol. When I first saw And Falling, Fly I loved it so much I wanted to read it. Of course now I know the book is not for me, but still I like the cover. I do love the wings in the stone. It’s a nice change and it makes it more mysterious. The cover is pretty dark, so you can guess the book is.
Yep Archangel’s Kiss used to be my favorite in the series but it’s been replaced by the awesome Archangel’s Consort for me too! I love her wings and the sunsetting sky in the background. Pretty awesome.
*hides* Don’t hurt me Susi, but I don’t really like Succubus Shadow. I agree with you it’s not how I picture Georgina either. She looks too pale, you’d think she’s a vampire. She is supposed to look healthy which I don’t see on the cover. And I don’t like her clothes. Mehhh. It’s a Mehh cover for me.
Susi: Wrong time to admit that i love her clothes? Me wants. The jacket is made of awesome. And I like that she’s pale because I’m too and it’s pretty and totally healthy. *tries to sound reassuring*
Caroline: I’m white as a sheet too, but she’s supposed to be very attractive. Pale…not really attractive. No offence LOL *hides from the rock throwing*
Susi: I think pale is really attractive and I know many guys who would agree. But she is supposed to be from Greece so her complexion should be darker. Yeah I know. *head hangs in defeat*
Caroline: Come here..*pats Susi’s head* It’s ok sweety, you can always become a vampire LOL
Are you more the angel or demon lover? What’s your favorite?
What do you like on covers featuring those?
Should there be tentacles on romance covers? (don’t be afraid you can say no *wink*)

P.S.: The French lady is watching you. Be careful with your answer!! lol (Signed: The French Lady)

For both sets, I ike the Singh covers best. I don' care for a side of tentacles with my book covers, thank you very much. However, Archangels Consort and Demon Blood are the best ones up there, so I'll still vote with Caroline's panel. Half a vote to the tentacle-less Susi.

  • pattepoilue October 25, 2010 at 10:40 am

@LSUReader LMAO good answer! You actually made us both happy. Very diplomatic *g*
I have to say that seeing tentacles makes me think of smelly octopus . That's Ewww.

  • Sullivan McPig October 25, 2010 at 10:45 am

Hey! Tentacles are cool! There should be more covers with tentacles. So my vote goes to Caroline this time.
I also love the Nalini Singh covers and the Meljean Brook cover, although Meljean's promo picture with flashing boobs is forever lodged in my mind :-p

  • pattepoilue October 25, 2010 at 10:47 am

@Sullivan McPig *squeeeeeee* *run around the room* *comes back to taunt Susi* nia nia nia *runs again* *g*
Lol yes Meljean's promo picture was funny. I love her sense of humor LOL

  • SusiSunshine October 25, 2010 at 10:55 am

@LSUReader Yep…imagine how it must feel to be touched by those *shudders*

@Sullivan McPig I agree but tentacles? Seriously? I only like the purple ones. LMAO

    @pattepoilue *sticks out tongue*

  • pattepoilue October 25, 2010 at 11:05 am

@Susi *biting tongues not to say something about testicles* LMAO

  • Sharon S. October 25, 2010 at 11:11 am

okay, I thought it was two men on the cover of A Witches Beauty . When I clicked on the cover to get the large pic I realized my mistake. I love Singh's covers and there is nothing wrong with a strategically placed octopus arm.

  • pattepoilue October 25, 2010 at 11:13 am

@Sharon S. Lol it's true that the woman on a Witch's Beauty doesn't have huge breasts LOL. And YAY on not hating the octopus arm LMAO *take that Susi* Nalini's covers are just wonderful. I can't wait to see what they'll come up with next. =)

  • Sullivan McPig October 25, 2010 at 11:16 am

Oh, I will probably get whacked by the both of you if I confess I loathe the Succubus cover!
I loved the first couple of UK covers, but after that the covers went down hill fast in my opinion.

  • pattepoilue October 25, 2010 at 11:17 am

@Sullivan McPig Oh no I agree with you. I'll protect you from the angry German lady don't worry. I don't like this cover much either. It's..MEH

  • SusiSunshine October 25, 2010 at 11:38 am

@Sharon S. Yep…not very feminine that tentacle thing. LOL *shudders* I don't want to get touched by a tentacle. I hope it doesn't smell like fish. Ewwwww.

@Sullivan McPig The UK? Really? I hate those. You can share those with @pattepoilue and I will keep the pretty ones. =P

I haven't read any angel books yet. Seeing a lot of them though lately.

I've read a handful of demon books. Read Lilith Saintcrow's series, read Cheyenne McCray's and I read the first one Succubus book in Richelle's series. The rest are going on my bday list!

I am curious about Nalini Singh's books. The covers are just beautiful and are really intriguing as well. Will have to look into those.

  • pattepoilue October 25, 2010 at 11:49 am

@Jessica Oh I've never heard of Cheyenne McCray's books. Will look them up.
I still haven't read the Nalini books but I only see great reviews about them. Everyone is raving about them. I think I'll have to bump them to the top of my TBR list. =P
