Book Blurb:

Claire is a #hopelessromantic. Lottie is determined to set up her BFF with Mr. Perfect. Will wants his #secretcrush to finally notice him. Bennett is a man with a plan.

Claire can’t believe it when her dream guy starts following her on Twitter. She never thought he noticed her, and suddenly he seems to understand her better than almost anyone.

But the Twitterverse can be a confusing place, especially when friends act differently online than they do in person. Things get even more complicated when Claire realizes she’s falling for someone else, the last person she ever would have expected….

Told in an innovative format combining tweets, emails, and blogs, Tweet Heart is a contemporary romantic comedy that will set your heart atwitter..

My Thoughts:

I’m not one to pick up Young Adult stories unless they have some sort of paranormal aspect to them, but Tweet Heart stood out to me and I was up for reading something a little different.  I was curious to see how a novel written comprised of purely emails, blogs and tweets would pan out and after reading mixed reviews I bit the bullet and bought the book.

I’ll admit it this now, it takes a little getting used to reading it.  Majority of the book is mainly tweets and once you get used to who is who with the pics and usernames it’s quite a quick read.

The main characters, Lottie, Will, Bennett and Claire are a quirky group of teens who aren’t far from a computer close by.  Claire is the main protagonist of the story but I found she was my least favourite of all the characters.  Lottie her best friend and social butterfly, Will the hopelessly head over heels guy and Bennet super syfy nerd seemed to jump out more for me and I think.

Tweet Heart was a cute read and one I could totally relate to if we had Twitter back in my teens (Ha! Makes me sound old) and I liked that the author has tried out a new way of telling the story but I think maybe if there were more blog posts etc over the tweets I think it could have been a better read.  Loved the ending by the way.

I give Tweet Heart  3.5 bookies!
