Publishers are going to offer book apps with interactive content aimed at Christmas. Publishers like Penguin and the Hachette group are hoping to capitalise on the popularity of ereading devices like the ipad/iphones and to increase and expand on the interactivity of ebooks.

Scientists have made a breakthrough with e-ink technology by making it cheaper and actually disposable. This could make printing documents/texts a thing of the past and has wider implications and possibilities with other products and tech.
Barnes and Noble is having an awesome sale right on ebay, for Black Friday sales, with the Wifi Nook going on sale for $99 – the 3G version is slightly higher at $119.
The cover for the next Sookie Stackhouse book has been posted! Dead Reckoning is slated for release next May.
Sourcebooks will be rereleasing classic Historical Romance books under its Casablanca imprints. One of the authors they have picked up and reissued is Laurie McBain who along with Kathleen E. Woodiwiss have helped to pioneer historical romance that we know today, although with their books, there was a lot of forced seductions and uber alpha heroes. But if you fancy checking these classics – both Moonstruck Madness and Devil’s Desire will ber released or is out via Casablanca books!
More book covers! Vicki Pettersson has unveiled the cover for her 6th Zodiac book – Neon Graveyard.
While we are eagerly awaiting for the final Wicked Lovely book from Melissa Marr. She has announced and is working on an adult book called Graveminder. The covers from the UK and US have also been posted and I have to say this looks mighty interesting!
Blurb:

Three sips to mind the dead . . .

Rebekkah Barrow never forgot the tender attention her grandmother, Maylene, bestowed upon the dead of Claysville, the town where Bek spent her adolescence. There wasn’t a funeral that Maylene didn’t attend, and at each Rebekkah watched as Maylene performed the same unusual ritual: three sips from a small silver flask followed by the words “Sleep well, and stay where I put you.”

Now Maylene is dead and Bek must go back to the place—and the man—she left a decade ago. But what she soon discovers is that Maylene was murdered and that there was good reason for her odd traditions. It turns out that in placid Claysville, the worlds of the living and the dead are dangerously connected. Beneath the town lies a shadowy, lawless land ruled by the enigmatic Charles, aka Mr. D—a place from which the dead will return if their graves are not properly minded. Only the Graveminder, a Barrow woman, and the current Undertaker, Byron, can set things to right once the dead begin to walk.

Did you buy any Black Friday bargains? Anything we should check out today?
What do you think about this re-releasing idea?

The Melissa Marr book sounds great. I'm not a big YA fan, but I loved Wicked Lovely (haven't read the others in the series yet, but I will).

As for reissues, I think it's a great idea, because many of the older books aren't in ebook format and when they are reissued, they usually put out the ebook also. I've picked up a couple of my favorite Georgette Heyers in ebook format and I know a bunch of Mary Balogh's old regencies are being released this way.

I'm looking forward to the Neon Graveyard. I like the Zodiac series, always thought it was an original story. I didn't like the cover when I first saw it, but it's growing on me.

Black Friday–Boo! Hiss! Friday was a day of recovery (and football;) no fighting shopping crowds for me.

Looking forward to the new Sookie and I'm glad to see Harris's series has kept using the distinctive, original art for the cover.
