The Coming Back Winner Post

Hey Everyone!

I am baaack! :-))

First I was away studying then being busy passing my exams (so a big big thanks to my fellow Book Lover Ladies for taking care of my load and helping me to concentrate on passing the bar exam *big hugs to you all*), then as a reward for passing the exam with flying colours I went on a mini vacation with my family. (Don’t you just love reward trips? *grins*)

First we went to Normandy (North of France) and visited some beautiful sights like:

Étretat
the Mont Saint-Michel

just to name a few (I also saw the first boutique opened by Coco Chanel in Deauville ;-), then we ended my reward trip with a few days in Brussels where I strolled the parks and the shopping streets *wink*

So now I am back full time both to blogging and as of tomorrow to work at the office. I will miss spending the mornings in lazy fashion in our sun-lit living room. *sighs*

But I’m here now to tell you who were lucky this week.Congratulations to

The lucky winner of an ebook copy of Mile High Airship Club by Nishi Serrano is: Tamsyn

The lucky winner of an ebook copy of Embraced by Shadows by Mayra Calvani is: Arianne Cruz

The lucky winners of a copy of Sleeper’s Run by Henry Mosquera are: Bookwyrm369 – Jen B – Karen C

Congratulations winners, you have all been notified by e-mail of your win, you have 72 hours to get back to us, or we’ll have to draw a new winner.

I hope you all had a wonderfully fun Halloween and are right now having a relaxing weekend!

@LSUReader: Thank you! Yes, Normandy was breathtaking and we were so lucky with the weather! It was sunny and quite warm for early November, no rain or wind at all 🙂

@Karen C: Thank you Karen 🙂 Yes, we got your e-mail, congrats again!

    Congratulations on passing the Bar!

I've heard I was unbearable to live with in those 4 months between the Bar and the releasing of the results…..maybe if I had contained the crazy I would have gotten a trip to Normandy too?

  • Stella (Ex Libris) November 6, 2011 at 1:24 pm

@draconismoi: Oh my God 4 months without knowing the results! I would die! No, thankfully(?) the system is different here: you have to pass 3 exams (each one comprised of 3-4 smaller exams) to pass the Bar. So for the moment I have only passed the 1st big exam (having 4 smaller ones), and I got the results the same day, so I could fly away on vacation relieved 🙂 So my happiness will last until the next exam rolls by (around January), when I'll have to go back into isolation and study again. *sighs* But at least I'm one step closer 🙂

    thanks so much!! 😀

@Stella – Hmm, not so sure I'd trade the long wait for 2 extra exams. Particularly not if they are as soul-suckingly grueling as California's.

On Day 1 of my Bar Exam (it's 3 full days), a proctor introduced himself with "Hi, I'll be seeing half of you again in 6 months, because only half of you will pass!" The thought of doing that 3 times makes me want to curl in a ball and weep on your behalf.

Susi has cookies – she taunted me with them the other day. You clearly need a never-ending supply of cookies.
