Welcome to the 22nd day of Book Lovers Inc Advent Calendar. Each day we will offer you one great read in a giveaway on all 24 days till Christmas.

Today you will have the chance to win a copy of Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder! I just love and admire Snyder’s work beyond words. She just has the incredible ability to create such intricate and well structured worlds in her stories and every single one of her books is a fantastic journey for me. Her latest book, Touch of Power, is just amazing, as all of her books!

Purchasing Info: Amazon.com, Book Depository,Barnes&Noble, Author’s Website, Goodreads, Publisher

Book Blurb:

Laying hands upon the injured and dying, Avry of Kazan assumes their wounds and diseases into herself. But rather than being honored for her skills, she is hunted. Healers like Avry are accused of spreading the plague that has decimated the Territories, leaving the survivors in a state of chaos.

Stressed and tired from hiding, Avry is abducted by a band of rogues who, shockingly, value her gift above the golden bounty offered for her capture. Their leader, an enigmatic captor-protector with powers of his own, is unequivocal in his demands: Avry must heal a plague-stricken prince—leader of a campaign against her people. As they traverse the daunting Nine Mountains, beset by mercenaries and magical dangers, Avry must decide who is worth healing and what is worth dying for. Because the price of peace may well be her life…

The Review:
Touch of Power wasn’t just good or amazing…It was plainly brilliant!I love Maria V. Snyder’s work and think she is one of the best fantasy writers out there and with her new series, she just confirms it!

As soon as I started reading Touch of PowerRead the rest of the review.

This sure is a lovely gift for the holidays! What I really want from Santa? Hmm I collect statues by Nene Thomas, and the only one I don’t have is Serenity. So I would love to get that one. Unfortunately, as it is kind of rare, it is extremely expensive. More costly than I want to spend myself.

All I’m asking Santa for this year is something hot and steamy for me – a new shower. Mine broke months ago and I’ve had to make do with Baths since as the water pressure isn’t enough for a proper shower any more.. 🙁

I’ve asked Santa for a Kindle or a Kobo. Unfortunately, I think he may have ran out and I might have to wait another year for it! Phooey!

Thanks for the chance to win! Touch of Power sounds like a really great read!

I’ve asked Santa for an Ereader that reads all ebook formats.

This book sounds just wonderful, and I’m adding it to my TBR pile!

    Happy Holidays!

I am asking Santa for just one day of peace and quiet. I want a day for myself to read to my hearts content, no one asking me for anything, no phone calls. Just a perfect day—me and my TBR pile

  • Jason K. December 22, 2011 at 9:28 am

I want an eReader or tablet! Fortunately my BF promised me one, in case Santa can’t get to my house.
    Thanks!

  • rissatoo December 22, 2011 at 9:51 am

I asked Santa for an iPad 2, but I think I’m on the Naughty List, ‘cuz it doesn’t seem to be happening. :p
My default is always new books, though, and even if that jolly old elf gives me coal in my stocking, *I* am gonna make sure I get some! 😉

  • draconismoi December 22, 2011 at 10:52 am

Dear Santa, for x-mas this year I would like a bed and some bookshelves. My books and back each deserve a little love.

I’m really eyeing the Kindle Touch. My K2 is perfectly acceptable, but it’s starting to show signs of strain, so I’m thinking I need the Touch available and ready to go just in case.

  • Linda December 27, 2011 at 12:43 am

I really wanted an ipod or an ipad but both are really too expensive as a gift. Never mind. I still treasure my socks & underwear gifts! Since they were given with a lot of love.

I’ll ask Santa to have a look at my book wish list, log on to the internet and then have those nice people over at The Book Depository deliver me all those lovely books:) Oh! And Santa, if you’re listening, I haven’t had a holiday in over 5 years so some airplane tickets to a nice place on the other end of the ocean would be great!:)
