The Very Snowy Winner Post

Hey Everyone!

I don’t know what’s the weather like in your part of the world but this past week it has been fricking icy cold here. I’m not talking I-need-to-put-on-gloves cold, but my-fingers-are-frozen-and-I-cant-feel-them-even-in-gloves-after-five-minutes kind of Arctic cold! And as I don’t live in Canada I’m not used to these freezing degrees, especially not during  the day (-15 Celsius or even less)! Brr… But today it snowed! And not just some fluffy snow flakes, nope. It snowed and snowed all day, the whole neighbourhood and city is covered in a white fluffy blanket and as I don’t have to get out in the city (the peaks of being in isolation on study leave) I don’t mind that much. Sure I spent most of yesterday’s afternoon shovelling snow so we could get to our mailbox, but in a way it was so peaceful to see all this undisturbed and soft whiteness. If it keeps on snowing I could get to do some snow angels! Haven’t done them since I was a kid, but this fluffy dust-like snow made me want to roll around in the snow 😀 We’ll see, who knows, maybe next week I’ll tell you all about my snow angel making afternoon 😉

So what are your plans for today? Did you get any snow/cold weather?

Before I leave you to go out to shovel some more, here are this week’s winners. Congratulations to…

Very cold here in Holland as well, it snowed almost the whole day here on Friday, and though most of the roads are clean, the sidewalks are still snowy and icy. It sure has been years since it was this cold! Night temps are -15!

Thanks for the win, really looking forward to reading the book! And congrats to the other winners as well!

It’s strange because I’m used to cold winter temperatures and this year has been so mild here in North East Ohio.
I love the kitty today – poor baby

i’m near holland so the same. It’s more than 20 years since it was so cold ( -20 in some place) and also the problem is since it was so mild before animals and plant were growing in advance and now catastrophe

i’m helping the birds like i can ( apples are what they prefer and they even come to the window to ask for more when there isn’t anything left…strange and in teh same time it show a lot ( i have a cat but they still come)

I live in Florida, so no snow for me. We’ve been having a very mild winter as well, today it’s 82 degrees (Fahrenheit) and I have shorts on.

I feel your pain. Two solid weeks of -30F out in Alaska. My roommate is from Fairbanks, so she keeps assuring me that it can, in fact, get much, much colder. I wonder at what point it will be so cold that I just can’t tell the difference?

And some of my clients don’t have heat or running water!

Blizzards are nice. The clouds warm it up. Bring on the blizzards!
