Explore This!: San Diego, California

Welcome to today’ special edition of Explore This! While The Geeky Lover and The HEA Lover are out of town, I snagged their time slot…though we do miss them when they’re gone 🙂

And it’s thanks to a recommendation from The Rocket Lover that I’m whisking you off to San Diego, California; it’s the setting for the book Night Walker by Lisa Kessler. From what I hear the Mission de Alcala plays a large role in the story, but we’ll take a tour all around the city. Okay, I’ll admit, I focused a bit more on the water and the beach. I’m feeling a bit beach bummy 😉

Ah, how I would love to be on one of those boats!

The Coronado Bridge

The Gaslamp Quarters.

Balboa Park.

A lovely shoreline vista.

Mission de Alcala.

Inside the Mission.

San Diego Beach.

I’m sure from just this small sample if images that there are many more wonderful spots in San Diego. Have you been? Would you like to add to the must see places? I’d love to hear!

I went to San Diego for the first time last year and I loved it. The people were so friendly and I was kind of suprised because I went for Comic Con and there were plenty of crazy people there to get on the local’s nerves 🙂

I live in the county! I wish more book bloggers live there… Seriously, I need more bookie friends. I have these events I want to go to and meet authors but no one wants to go with me 🙁

San Diego is cool and mellow and we love the Comic Con crazies 😉

I was born not too far from here, and still have family in the area. It’s one of my favorite places in California. People joke that there’s no weather, because it’s always extremely pleasant (barring the June Gloom). Totally hope I can retire here some day.

That looks lovely! And I was very happy that Caro and Susi were out of town as I got to meet them! Squeee! It was so much fun!

Oh my gosh, I miss San Diego. We were living in Santa Barbara the last 4 yrs, and we would go down to San Diego at 3 times a year. My sister in law lived down there. I have to say that going whale watching is a must down there, because it’s not expensive, surprisingly.

I had no idea that San Diego was so beautiful. I always just picture Sea World and Comic Con when I think about San Diego lol

Thanks for the San Diego love and the Night Walker shout out too! 🙂

We’ve been having amazing weather so if you’re coming out for Comic-Con you’re in for a treat!

    Hope to see you there!

    Lisa 🙂
