Today I’m super excited to welcome author J. Lynn a.k.a. Jennifer Armentrout to Book Lovers! It’s no big secret that I’m a huge fan of Jennifer’s and she’s one of those authors whose work I just know I will enjoy no matter what! Today, Jennifer stops by to celebrate her first adult release under the pen name J. Lynn, Tempting the Best Man, a story about first love that just blew me away. What can I say, I have a soft spot for sexy stories that feature even sexier male heroes 🙂

So, let’s welcome Jennifer and don’t forget to check at the end of the post for a chance to win a copy of Tempting the Best Man.

Anna: Hi Jennifer, welcome to Book Lovers Inc. We are more than happy to have you here today celebrating the release of your first adult story, Tempting The Best Man!

Jennifer: Thanks for having me! So happy to be here.

Stella: Your latest novel Tempting The Best Man was released last month by Entangled Publishing in their new Indulgence line, congratulations! Can you tell our readers what they can expect of it?

Jennifer: Tempting the Best Man centers around Madison, who’s had a crush on her brother’s best friend since she was little, and after one night of blurring the lines between friends and lovers, Madison has tried to ignore him. But when they come together for her brother’s wedding, the are forced together through a series of mishaps and ignoring their feelings for one another becomes nearly impossible. There’s a lot of steamy romance in-between those pages, and humor. =)

Anna: Did you find the transition from YA to adult stories challenging? In what ways was it different?

Jennifer: Actually, I don’t find it hard at all. I typically write upper YA anyway, which means there usually a more adult feel to the stories and characters. I don’t skimp on the romance or danger in YA. The only read difference, truthfully, is in adult novel, you get to name body parts.

True story.

Anna: I can’t help but wonder what is it that you love the most about writing YA novels and in contrast, what you love the most about writing stories for an adult audience?

Jennifer: It’s actually the same for both: the passion. With YA, you get the passion of writing about the character’s first love, heartbreak, loss and so on. With Adult, it’s a different kind of passion—a passion of age, experience, and hopefully wisdom.

Stella: Now can you tell us 3 reasons why people should read Tempting The Best Man?

Jennifer: Romance that is both hot and sweet
Humor
Did I say hot romance?

Stella: Can you summarize Tempting The Best Man for us Twitter-style (140 characters or less)?

Jennifer: A wedding, a mix up, and a crush that just won’t die. What could possibly go wrong?

Stella: We were more than ecstatic to see that Tempting the Best Man is the 1st book in a new series to be published by Entangled Publishing’s Indulgence imprint: the Gamble brothers series, yay!! Can you tell us when we can expect to read Chad and Chandler’s stories? Or what other stories penned by J. Lynn we can look forward to?

Jennifer: Chad’s story is up next. He’s kind of the playful, playboy of the family, but he’s got a dominant side to him that tends to get him into a bit of trouble. Chandler will get his turn and being the most serious of the brothers, I’m sure he’s going to be handful when he lets loose.

I also have Unchained coming up, which is a paranormal romance/urban fantasy that will be released in October. Blurb is below.

Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead and the fallen angel who just…wants her, Lily is about ready to trade in forever for a comfy job in a cubicle farm.

The fact that she and Julian are civil to one another is enough to have her thrown out of the Sanctuary, but she can’t shake her not-so-angelic stalker or how he brings her dangerously close to ecstasy.

Her forbidden relationship with Julian provides the perfect fuel for suspicion when a traitor is discovered to be working within the Sanctuary. Lily quickly finds herself hunted by well, everyone.

Her only hope is to discover the real traitor before she loses everything–and she’ll need Julian’s help. That is, if Julian is really there to help her…and not destroy her.

Yeah, being a Nephilim isn’t everything it’s cracked up to be.

About the Book

Madison Daniels has worshipped her brother’s best friend since they were kids. Everyone thinks she and Chase Gamble would make the perfect couple, but there are two major flaws in their logic. 1) Chase has sworn off relationships of any kind, and 2) after blurring the line between friends and lovers for one night four years ago, they can’t stop bickering.

Forced together for her brother’s wedding getaway, Chase and Madison decide to call a truce for the happy couple. Except all bets are off when they’re forced to shack up in a tacky 70’s honeymoon suite and survive a multitude of “accidents” as the family tries to prove their “spark” can be used than for more than fighting. That is, if they don’t strangle each other first…

You write for upper YA. Does that mean older YA? The book sounds really good and I have added it to my TBR list

This sounds like such a fun story. I love when the couple start out bickering and annoying each other. Their arguments usually lead to passionate encounters.
