Book Blurb

It’s Jax Cassidy’s first mission for L.O.S.T.—one that will give the former cop who went rogue a chance to prove herself. Her assignment: gain the trust of assassin Marcus Cross . . . eliminate him . . . then take down Marcus’s mentor, Joseph Lazarus, a man with a bold eye on the White House. But the woman who’s known by her team for being a femme fatale succumbs to passion, only to discover Cross’s deadly secret. He’s a vampire, and Joseph Lazarus is his creator.

Left for dead by his platoon in the violent hills of Afghanistan, special ops sniper Marcus Cross was given a second chance at life. His newly heightened skills make him the perfect killing machine, and as Lazarus’s right hand man, he’s quickly rising to the top of his dark empire, purging enemies with speed and precision. Only when dangerous beauty Jax Cassidy is sent to bring him in does he begin to question Lazarus’s motives and his own actions. But when Jax’s life is threatened by the one thing that can destroy them both, Marcus must make a bitter choice—her death or his.

My Thoughts

Enemy Lover is the first book in a thrilling new fast ,action packed, paranormal romance suspense that literally kept me from doing my daily chores! Karin has done an excellent job on putting a spin on your vampire world!

We have heroine Jax Cassidy who has been left behind by the people she looked to the most, in a time she needed them the most. After being punished for crimes that were well deserved Jax was sentenced to prision, until she dissapeared……
I really enjoyed Jax character. With a past like her’s, it takes a strong women to come back and try to live life again. And to learn to trust people again. Even the ones who become close. I liked the fact that she didn’t just trust everyone. What all she goes through with marcus could get a bit frustrating, like i like you, we are good together, but i have to kill you. But then again who could blame a girl, plus it makes for one helluva a story!

Marcus is a kickass vampire who too was left behind by people he trusted the most. But his whole world completly changes when he gets a second chance at life. To me Marcus ends up being the perfect hero. He thinks his humanity is long gone, but yet he still does his best to “take care” of the bad guys. So he thinks…..
It would be so hard to go through what Marcus does when he finally finds out about his true mom. Then to find out about the man he gives him his second chance at life.

When you have no alternative, then you call in L.O.S.T. Because with the Last Option Special Team, it’s do or die. . . .

Jax is takin in by L.O.S.T. and her first big job is to follow and take down Marcus, little does she know Marcus’s job is to do that exact same thing to her. Between Jax and Marcus , L.O.S.T. and The Solution, Enemy Lover is full of love, romance, lies, trust, betrayl, and everything in between. I think Karin has done a wonderful job creating a new world, and I can’t wait to see what she brings us with the next book in the Series!!!

I give Enemy Lover 4 out of 5 Bookies!
