Good news on the book front from several authors!

It looks like Wen Spencer is working on the long awaited 3rd Tinker novel. Wen has posted several snippets from the 3rd untitled novel on her live journal blog. So fans of the resourceful genius and friends can look forward to a new book. For more info and snippets from the book can be found here.

Richelle Mead has announced on her blog that she has titles for her new books for 2011 and several movie and television options for Vampire Academy and Succubus series.

Succubus Revealed will be the final book in the series and will be released in September 2011. Last Sacrifice, the final Vampire Academy book will be out December this year and following that, Iron Crowned the 3rd book of the Dark Swan series is slated to be released around February 2011 with the Vampire Academy spin-off in the summer of that year.

Richelle also announced that the Vampire Academy books have been optioned by Preger Entertainment to be made into a movie although at this point its just been optioned and there is a possibility it might not be greenlit for production. Here is the link to the Press Release.

The Price of Temptation historical gay romance movie option

I had to post this – just because I adore the covers that MJ Pearson is blessed with. And even better The Price of  Temptation has been optioned for a movie. Will that infamous bulge appear in the movie poster I wonder? At ohnothedidnt you can find a link to the Press release and the cover for The Price of Temptation.

Fictionwise has announced it will end its micropay programme. So for anyone who has remaining micropay in their accounts I would suggest, you use them all now, especially now it seems to be the death knell of the site itself.

Paranormal romance author Moira Rogers came across new terms for Amazon’s self publishing policy and has written a great summary about this at her blog. Self publishing looks like its a growing market in epublishing.

Top Teen Awards is a new contest in the same vein as MTV’s Teen Choice awards where winners will be announced in an award’s ceremony which will be presented by a variety of authors, teen celebrities and muscians. To check out the nominations and categories you can find it here.

Twilight addiction is affecting relationships
The LA Times has discovered that the ever growing phenomenon of Twilight fandom is starting to affect relationships and some people are now reporting that their fictional crushes and online fandom is threatening their relationships with their significant others.(source: ohnotheydidnt)

And talking about Twilight!

This is a fun 8Bit game which you can change the outcome to Eclipse, although beware! I have killed Bella and Edward several times but if you are on team Jacob (which I am a firm t-shirt wearing supporter!) you might be a happy bunny or shall I say puppy!

What do you think about books being adapted as a movie? Are you afraid of it destroying your own view of the characters or do you like to see how other people picture your favorite heroine or hero?
Which book would you love to see as a movie?

I LOVE this video Game…sadly it always ends up in Bella dying!! I tried to make her go with Jacob but each time she dies LOL I did spent at least 15 minutes on it Bwahahaha

Oh my…what a bulge! On both covers lol

I'm ALWAYS waiting for movie adaptation, each time knowing that I'll be disappointed. The only one I wasn't disappointed was the LOTR lol

I do love to hate the Harry Potter movies. I can't help myself but wa&tch every movie adaptation from book I read…*sigh*

I am ambivalent on movie adaptations but there has been really awful movies based on books. I think the worse one was Blood and Chocolate – there was so many changes to it, there was really no point to adapting the book because the ending and characters was so different 😛

I love that game- I think the main point was to kill off Bella 😀 I cannot wait to see what they do to Breaking Dawn LOL

@Has lol I still got Edward to die from heartbreak once lol Mouhahahahaha Oh my…it's gonna be fun with Renesmee and all!
    I haven't seen nor read Blood & Chocolate so I can't tell…but i've heard the movie was a massacre!

Haven't seen too many movie adaptation that I have also read the book for. Most of them that I have seen I get frustrated about what scenes they cut from the original story to make it fit on the big screen time wise. That's why my most favorite screen adaptation ever is Stephen King's The Stand, since they made it into a TV mini-series.

I would like to see a screen adaptaion of Alyssa Day's Warriors of Poseidon series. With all the advances in special effects I'd love to see the water manipulation powers of the Atlantians up on the big screen.
