Book blurb:

Thanks to her cheating ex-husband and her thieving brother, all horse breeder Nikki Kimball has left is a bruised heart, an overdrawn bank account and an empty home. When sex-on-legs Dillon Barnett and his brooding foster-brother Brett Anderson start showing more than just neighborly attention, Nikki is intrigued…and a little gun-shy.

Dillon and Brett have a history; back in high school, the two friends fought a bitter battle over Nikki. Now, ten years later, Brett still longs to be the man in Nikki’s life, but he’s determined to stand back and let Dillon win Nikki’s heart.

Society says Nikki must choose between the two men she loves. Is Nikki strong enough to break all the rules in order to find happiness?
My thoughts: Texas Tangle is a ménage story, so what was a good surprise was to see that this was not only a very hot but also a sweet and funny novel.
What I loved about Texas Tangle was that all three main characters were given equal importance, background story and the reader didn’t feel that one of them was added to the story purely for the sake of having a  ménage.
Nikki, Dillon and Brett are friends first and foremost and I think that is why their ménage works, because there is a deep understanding, old bond of affection, love and respect between them. Dillon and Breett are more like brothers, their relationship is not easy, they have their share of sibling rivalry, insecurities and hassles, but beyond everything there is such a deep affection and bond between them, that it surmounts everything.
I have to confess I wasn’t that fond of Nikki, I found her a bit too whiny and needy, but the boys were wonderful!
Verdict: Texas Tangle is a special ménage story, because here, besides the amazing sex love, friendship and respect also play a crucial part. The other thing that sets Texas Tangle apart from other ménage stories is how realistically (I know it may sound unbelievable, but it is true) it portrays this situation: how two best friends, almost brothers could love and share the same woman and how a normal, even small town society can accept it.

I give this book 4 bookies out of 5!

Tori, start reading Texas Tangle, the boys will keep you occupied 😉 And Nikki is not irritating or anything, just not the kind of heroine I really like.
