Hey All.
Welcome to another installment of The Sexy Lover’s reading Wishlist!
My Reading Wishlist:
Every two weeks I put together a list of new releases and some not so new releases that I want to read and ask you for recommendations from your wishlists.

Some of the wishlist posts will include giveaways…like there is today!

Make sure to be here when I post “My Wishlist” because you never know what books you may get a chance to win.
First up is:
Witch and Wizard by James Patterson & Gabrielle Charbonnet
Witch And Wizard.jpg
Everything is about to change. The government has seized control of every aspect of society, and now kids are disappearing. For 15 year-old Wisty and her older brother Whit, life turns upside-down when they are hauled out of bed one night, separated from their parents, and thrown into a secret compound for no apparent reason. It’s clear that the new government will stop at nothing to suppress Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Being a Normal Teenager.

For the sister and brother, the chaos started when Whit’s girlfriend, Celia, was spirited away in a black van, never to be seen or heard from again. Locked inside their cells, the two fear that they have been taken to the very same complex that swallowed Celia and realize that a daring escape is their only hope of survival.

While imprisoned together, Wisty and Whit start exhibiting strange abilities and powers they never knew they possessed. Their new talents lead them to believe that maybe there is a reason they were singled out. Can this newly minted witch and a wizard master their skills in time to save themselves, their parents–and maybe the world?

Why do I want it?
The reason I picked this book is because I have been wanting to try-out some new authors who have been around for awhile, but I’ve never read. I want to expand my reading horizons and discover new novels written by authors like James Patterson. I have been meaning to check out his books for awhile now. So, what better way to get started than with Witch & Wizard. A book that is in my favorite genre but written by a mainstream author.

Next up is:
Evernight (Evernight Series #1) by Claudia Gray
2722413.jpg
Bianca wants to escape.
She’s been uprooted from her small hometown and enrolled at Evernight Academy, an eerie Gothic boarding school where the students are somehow too perfect: smart, sleek, and almost predatory. Bianca knows she doesn’t fit in.
Then she meets Lucas. He’s not the “Evernight type” either, and he likes it that way. Lucas ignores the rules, stands up to the snobs, and warns Bianca to be careful—even when it comes to caring about him.
“I couldn’t stand it if they took it out on you,” he tells Bianca, “and eventually they would.”
But the connection between Bianca and Lucas can’t be denied. Bianca will risk anything to be with Lucas, but dark secrets are fated to tear them apart . . . and to make Bianca question everything she’s ever believed.
Why do I want it?
The reason I picked this book is because I have heard great things about it.  The Evernight series is already popular not only with the young-adults but with readers of all ages, as well. Oh….and of course it does not hurt that there are more books in this series that are already published, so I would not have to wait long to I got my hands on the next book in the Evernight saga.

Another one:
The Hunger Games (Hunger Games Series #1) by Suzanne Collins
41siRDoeqWL__SX106_.jpg
In a future North America, where the rulers of Panem maintain control through an annual televised survival competition pitting young people from each of the twelve districts against one another, sixteen-year-old Katniss’s skills are put to the test when she voluntarily takes her younger sister’s place.
Why do I want it?
The reason I choose this book is because I became was thoroughly intrigued after reading a fellow Book Lover’s (Larissa) thoughts and review of Hunger Games. It certainly has an interesting and original storyline that doesn’t follow the norm. I am very excited to get my greed little hands on this book!

The next to last:
Cougar (Wild Things Book 1) by Beverly Rae (releases March 9th)
1404.jpg

She likes her men rough, tough…and two at a time.
Wild Things, Book 1
Shannon Tally’s heart has been broken one too many times, but it hasn’t put a damper on her sex drive. If guys can play the field, so can she. And the two hot, sweaty ranch hands she spots “in the field” at her cousin’s ranch will do nicely to play out her wildest fantasy: to tame not just one hunky cowboy, but two. At the same time.
Humans are a mystery to cougar shifter Chase Reya. They invade his home, threatening the animals and his solitude. That’s why his leader sent him to the Tally ranch, to learn how to get along with humans. Or at least not to slice and dice them.
He never expected Shannon to stir a whirlwind of heat. And when the alluring female shares her affections with a werewolf, the combined sexual desire erupts even hotter. Only one person can generate this kind of passion—but can his lifelong mate be a human? For Shannon, a self-proclaimed lady “cougar”, fidelity could be a tall order. Not to mention accepting his true nature…
Warning: Contains animals who are armed and dangerous and find a whole new use for spurs. If you like undomesticated pets, light bondage and m/f/m sex as graphic as it can get, then take a trip into these wilds…but be careful. With more than one animal after your hide, you may end up in bed with more than you can handle.
Why do I want it?
Let’s just say that I am very excited about reading this one. The description slowly lured me in, but what really caught my attention was reading the online excerpt. Woohee! Definitely loved reading that excerpt! I am oh so anxious to get my little paws on this book! Don’t know what it is about these novels that can drive us ladies crazy! LoL!

Now for the final book on this week’s wishlist:
The Fortune Hunter (Fortune Series Book 1) by Jasmine Haynes
24664615.jpg
If she wants to realize her lifelong dream of having children heiress Faith Castle had better find a husband–pronto. But there are two roadblocks on her road to happiness: she knows no eligible men and she’s not exactly Miss California.
Then she meets Conner Kingston. He’s yummy. He’s available. And he thinks she’s sexy…
But he’s also honest. After a kiss that leaves them hot and bothered, Connor offers to marry Faith, but purely as a career move. It’s far from romantic, but it’s as good an offer as she’s going to get. Each has a caveat, though. She requires his fidelity–and he wants a no-holds-barred sex life.
From their wedding night on they get more and more adventuresome–and Faith starts feeling differently about herself and her body. And somewhere in the midst of ecstasy, she comes to know the most exciting aphrodisiac of all–love. Now, if only there was a way to make him succumb to it…
Why do I want it?
This one has been recommended to me by a friend. Of course said friend doesn’t have a copy of this book anymore. (yeah, sure!) So I could not borrow her copy. She swears it is a amazing book! My friend could not stop talking about it. So, I finally told her I would get my own copy and see if all that she says about it is true, just to shut her up, lol. I want to be excited about this book but won’t get my hopes up until I actually have read it. Has anyone else read this one yet?

Now here’s what everyone I know is really waiting for…
I am giving one reader/commenter a chance to win one of the books mentioned above.
Everyone, including those living out of the United States is welcomed to enter.
Just leave a comment below with which book you would like to win, and tell me at least one book from your wishlist!
Giveaway Ends: Friday, March 5, 2010
Thanks!
Until Next Time,
The Sexy Lover
