Geekdom of Books: Google Analytics & why I love it

Filed in Geekdom of Books , The Geeky Lover Posted on May 24, 2010 @ 10:25 am 8 comments
I love google Analytics not only because it is handy to keep track of visitors and clicks but aslo it amuses me to see how some people came to our blog. I always laugh so hard when I go through the things someone googled and then found Book Lovers Inc. Some time back I found a wonderful post about this topic at the Moira Rogers blog (here’s the post) and I thought today I will share ours with you. You’ve been warned.
Here are some of my favorites:
books with dark romance, stalker theme – Still thinking about which book would fit that description. Ideas?
patricia briggs interview – would have been great but unfortunately not here

baby you my so strong but i like it because of you – Ahem, no comment! LOL
dog lovers blogs blogspot – sorry wrong blog.
is joey hill autor a male or female – She is definitely a woman. Look here.
old faithful employees pretend to turn on the geyser – Again not sure what to think about that. O_o
raven spanking charlotte professor – Okay this one is totally Joely Sue Burkharts fault. LOL
tennis poems for kids – Okay, never saw one but could be cute.
what do you think of megan hart – I think she is amazing and one of the best authors ever.
mistaken for someone much younger and spanked – Okay that is just weird!
Okay and cuz I can stop now here are 2 from my personal blog:
“ilona is a poopy head” – I would never NEVER say that! Ilona is AWESOME!

freaky things to do with usb stick – OMG I don’t want to know about that. Nope.

And because I had to laugh so hard at this one  from pattepoilue’s (aka The HEA Lover) blog:

the truth behind the killing of easter eggs –  I am really curious about that one. Hon you should share this secret with us. LOL

Okay anyone else has any strange keyword searches to share with us?

I have found many keywords to be boo/author et cetera related but this one really made me LOL: become a slave like anne rices beauty

Anne Rice's trilogy begins with The Claiming Of Sleeping beauty and it made quite an impact with me. My review had a lot to do with spanking and I guess keywords/questions like these make my blog/review pop up ROFL

@Leontine LOL I had some not so tame ones on my blog, too.
Loved this one too: hairy erotica exams
I really seem to be a magnet for the pervs. LOL

I love looking at my 'Key words' seriously sometimes I wonder HOW IN HELL that matched to my blog!

After talking about a 'Butt Cheek Tattoo' I got LOADS of keywords about that.
    'cute buttcheek tattoo'
    'guys with butt cheek tattoos'

I probably talked about spanking because I got:
    'blog love spanking boy story'

    I also got:
    'wonderful naked men'
    'naughty mom and santa'
    'sexual position dawnbreakers'
    'i'm old. i'm positively ancient.'

    Lol I love those keywords.
But Susi your USB one is just disturbing lol

I love the Butt Cheek ones. ROFL

And you can never have enough wonderful naked men. LOL

And you are not old or ancient. What would I be if that were true? Don't say the wrong thing now hon!

I'm PC challenged, have no idea how Google Analytics works, but just discovered about 3 days ago that my Sitemeter widget does the same: it not only dispalys the number of visitors my blog had, but I can browse them through location, what they viewed on my blog, who referred them, and I lose precious half hours browisng this just for fun 😀

  • SusiSunshine May 25, 2010 at 10:10 am

@Stella Google Analytics is like that and a bit more. It makes you feel like Big Brother but it makes me laugh so hard. It is the ultimate timesucker but I love it nonetheless. If you want it and need help just let me know. =)
