Darker After Midnight by Lara Adrian

In the dark of night, a blood war escalates within the hidden world of the Breed. After existing in secret for many long centuries, maintaining a fragile peace with the humans who walk beside them unaware, a single act of retaliation has put the entire vampire nation at risk of discovery. It falls to the Order—a cadre of Breed warriors pledged to protect their own and humankind alike—to stop Dragos, the power-mad vampire at the center of the conflict, before his push for domination can explode into catastrophe.

At the center of the Order’s quest is Sterling Chase, once a morally rigid enforcer of Breed law, now a warrior fallen from grace, whose biggest battle is the one he wages against his own savage nature. With addiction beckoning him toward eternal darkness, Chase’s path to redemption has never seemed more out of reach—until he finds himself drawn to a beautiful young woman who may be something much more than she seems . . .

For my part, there’s only one book that has me absolutely salivating this week. Nope, it isn’t Lara Adrian’s latest (although the tale of Sterling Chase’s redemption is certainly going to be epic!)–it’s all about Sophie Littlefield’s trilogy ender, Horizon. But overall, there are quite a few interesting-looking titles on this week’s release roster. And that Mark Hodder cover (for his trilogy closer) looks positively badass.

So, what’ll it be…think you can make it through this week without pining after one of these newest releases? ^_^  Anything not on the list that you’re psyched about?

Lara Adrian is my must have this week. I am not very familiar with the other books and authors( must get out more! ). I keep meaning to buy a Pamela Palmer book to read but just haven’t got round to it yet.

I have two books on your list today, Lara Adrian and Sabrina Jeffries. The fifth and last in her Hellions series. I really want to know how she pulls it of. And finally we get to learn what happened with their parents 20 years ago.

I definitely need to read Jeffries’ A Lady Never Surrenders. After that, it’s back to the huge TBR list.
