Romance and Me: What Happens in Vegas…

Hey Everyone!

I recently read The Officer Says “I Do” by Jeanette Murray which is a Vegas romance: hero and heroine meet one night in flashy Las vegas and under the influence of heavy booz and friends’ pressure to let loose they elope and tie the knot, only to awaken the next day and… but I won’t spoil the rest of the story, you’ll have to read it (or at least my review). 😉

But it got me thinking that I really love this trope (kind of like the modern equivalent of the beloved forced/arranged marriage in historical romances: the hero and heroine are tied together and have to get to know each other, fall in love but not in the usual chronology of a relationship which ends with marriage.

So I craved more and asked on Twitter if anyone had any Vegas romance recommendations and Pearl suggested Lucky Streak by Carly Phillips. But I’m still looking for other great romances where the hero and heroine get married and have to deal with the aftermath the next day, so please

if you have read any good Vegas romances, could you recommend some?

Do you like this trope?

And speaking of Vegas Romances, any movies which have the similar premise you like?

ps. I found this list on Amazon when I searched for Las Vegas and Las Vegas Romance.

Yes, I do like that trope, and I have no idea of a title or author name in this subgenre. I know I must have read some books. Whenever I remember something I will let you know.

Tall Tales and Wedding Veils by Jane Graves. The kindle version is even on sale right now, so you should check it out. I loved it. Very humorous, with a bit of a player hero who owns a bar, and an accountant heroine.

What a timely post! (what Prince Harry did in Vegas definitely did NOT stay in Vegas…)
