Guest Post by Author Zoe Archer + Giveaway

Today we have the pleasure to welcome an author we don’t have to present anymore…(but let’s anyway *wink*). Thank you Zoe Archer for visiting Book Lovers Inc once again *g*. Zoe’s new book, Stranger, was released this week. It is the 4th book in The Blades of the Rose series and the hero is my favorite character in the series, Catullus! Let’s give a warm welcome to Zoe, who will tell us more about a new kind of hero, the Pi. Stay tuned and you could win a copy of Stranger!
Nerd. Brainiac. Poindexter. Geek. We’ve all heard these names. Heck, many of us readers have been called those names.
I never understood why being smart is supposed to be bad, or embarrassing. Intelligence is good—it keeps us alive and aware. When it comes to brains versus beauty, I’d rather have brains (though I don’t always feel that way when …

If you haven’t read this series you might wonder what all the fuss is about. It’s just another YA series about vampires and high school romance, right? Well no. The Vampire Academy series is so much more than that. And you want to know what sets it apart from the other YA vampire books and makes it so outstanding and exceptional? Well read on, I’m about to tell you.

Salvation has its price.

The words stunned Adrian for a moment, but he kept going. “You’re lying. What you’re describing is impossible. There’s no way to save a Strigoi. When they’re gone, they’re gone. They’re dead. Undead. Forever.”

Robert’s next words weren’t directed at Adrian. They were spoken to me. “That which is dead doesn’t always stay dead….”

After a long and heartbreaking journey to Dimitri’s birthplace in Siberia, Rose Hathaway has finally returned to St. Vladimir’s—and to her best friend, Lissa Dragomir. It’s graduation, and the girls can’t wait for their real lives outside of the Academy’s cold iron gates …

The Good, the Bad and the Are-You-Kidding-Me?

This week we have a special topic to talk about. Covers that are just plain wrong, literally. We decided to make this post after seeing a tweet from Nicole Peeler about her new German cover. She pointed out the wrongness of it and we couldn’t resist. We noticed this in the past and thought we will show you our top 3 of just stupidly wrong covers.

Susi: Okay this cover is wrong in so many ways. I don’t know why German publishers does this so often but it’s rather common here to show something totally wrong and deceiving on the cover. So here we have a book about Selkies showing a mermaid. O_O And not even pretty one for that. I don’t really like blueish covers and this …

Interview Author Gini Koch, Katherine Katt and Jeff Martini + Giveaway

We are really happy to not only welcome Gini Koch here today she’s also accompanied by our lovely Katherine “Kitty” Katt and the wonderful Jeff Martini. Their new novel, Alien Tango will be released tomorrow and they agreed to answer our questions as a celebration for this event. Be sure to stay tuned, there is a surprise at the end of the post. Welcome Gini, Kitty and Jeff.

Gini: Thanks, it’s great to be here.
Kitty: Likewise!
Martini: You know, you have a deadline.
Gini: Thanks for reminding me. Prepare for some torturous adventures later.
Martini: Just trying to be helpful.
Gini: As if I need the additional pressures?
Kitty: Jeff, leave The Creator alone.
Gini: Yeah.
Martini:I hate it when you both gang up on me.
Gini: Oh, it always works out for you in the end, so stop whining.

BLI: Could you all three please tell us a bit about yourself?

Kitty: I’m a regular girl …

Winners announced just in time for Santa to stop by…

Dear BLI readers and followers!I would like to draw your attention to quite a frequent and serious misregard of the rules of the giveaways:

usually to be entered in a giveaway you are required to

1) leave a meaningful comment/question

AND

2) leave a way to contact you (either e-mail, Twitter name, etc.)

However, many fail to do part 2) and without a way to reach you, you become ineligible to win! For today’s 3 giveaways, I had to draw 8 names, because the first 3-4 lucky people didn’t leave any way for me to reach them! And that is really a shame since their comments were great and genuine. 🙁

So pretty please leave us a way to get in touch with you, or else how could we get a hold of you to tell you you are the lucky winner and ask for shipping …

Bookish Eye Candy: Peeta – The Hunger Games

Hunger GamesBook 1By: Suzanne Collins

Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, “The Hunger Games.” The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When her sister is chosen by lottery, Katniss steps up to go in her place.

So I have been racking my brain on who i think would play the perfect Peeta. I have a thought in my head of what I think he would look …
