Book Blurb:
Sway by Lauren Dane. Book 1 of the Delicious series

Taken from Ms Dane’s website – SWAY will be in the CHERISHED Duology with me and Maya Banks – both our books will have a contemporary BDSM theme. It’s also the start to my DELICIOUS series, the spin off from The Brown Siblings books.

Levi Warner is an established, older man—wealthy, powerful, and above all, respectable. Then Levi meets Daisy, an uninhibited 24-year-old dance instructor and artist, not exactly the kind of woman Levi is accustomed to. But the young, free spirit, brings out something in him he only experienced in fantasies. When their scorching affair turns into something unexpectedly deeper, Levi finds himself torn between preserving his reputation, and exploring a wilder and much more satisfying kind of life.

My Thoughts:

This is only the review of Sway by Lauren Dane. It’s one of the 2 stories of the Cherished Duology, the second story being Exiled by Maya Banks I will read and review Maya’s story when I get it (Which is when it will be released *wink*). I’ve had the chance to win Sway in a twitter contest and let me tell you a lot of squeeing was involved.

Sway is the first book in the Delicious series.  It’s connected to the Brown Siblings series (a spin-off actually), so if you too have been waiting to see  Adrian Brown’s HEA you should read Sway *g*. Sway was wonderful. Amazing. Captivating. Perfect. I know I know, I should slow down on the 1 word descriptions but I’m in love with this book. I had high hopes for this story (because well it’s a Lauren Dane story!) and it was everything I wanted and more.

In the very first pages Lauren Dane mentions the song Sway by Rosemary Clooney and this song stuck to me all book long . Even now every time I think of Sway I hear the song and I admit it’s perfect for this book. The music is very sensual and makes you want to dance. This is how I felt while reading Sway. It’s dirty and funny and soooo sensual.  Daisy is difficult to describe because she’s not just a dancer or a waitress or an artist. Daisy is  a complex character and you’d need more than a book to apprehend all  that is Daisy.  She’s a gorgeous woman and while she knows perfectly how she looks she’s not vain nor petty.  She’s young but she’s very mature. She’s such a wonderful character you’d want such a friend in your life.

Levi melted my heart. He’s an ‘older’ guy…40, handsome (ok he’s delicious) with a good career as a lawyer . He loves Art and he has good taste. Yes he’s perfect, I know I know! 😉 I completely fell in love with him from the very first scene where he meets Daisy. Levi as an older guy has more experience in life, he has a past and let’s say he’s been burned before.  I have no words to say how much I loved Levi and Daisy together. The chemistry was…explosive. They fit exactly together.  Lauren Dane writes the best sex scenes, it’s so erotic and sensual. Just LOVED it.

Of course Sway is also filled with a fabulous cast of secondary characters. We get to see more of Adrian and Gillian but we also learn more about Daisy’s friends (who will have their own books). I loved the  strong sense of friendship and family this book was bringing me. Yes I’m using a lot of Love in this review but it was either that or lots of squeeeing 😉

Sway made my face ache from smiling. It made me tear up  and made my heart dance.  Lauren Dane gave us a  beautiful romance with the perfect rhythm, never rushing, slowly leading us to the discovery of love, but with just enough beat to make your heart race when the characters give in to their naughty  side. It was just perfect in my eyes. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series. Sway is a delicious treat I recommend to anyone. Lauren Dane once again blew me away.

 I give Sway 5 Stars

I loved the Brown Siblings so much I was scared that a Spin-off wouldn’t work for me but it looks like this new series is going to rock big time!

I love the song Sway – I’m going to be singing it all night now too!

I’ve never read anything by Lauren Dane before, but this review really really makes me want to start! And getting a story by Maya Banks in there too is just a bonus. Thanks for the great review!

*g* I love it too. So it was a pleasure to have it as ‘soundtrack’ for this book.
I think you can safely start with this book if you want to try a Lauren Dane story. It IS the start of a new spin-off. You can always go back to the previous books if you enjoy it =)
I’m soooo excited about Maya’s story now! *squee*
