Hi Maggie, welcome to Book Lovers Inc! Can you please tell us a bit about yourself?
Maggie: I’m a big homebody and live on a lake in Maine. We’ve got four grown kids, three grandchildren and one on the way! My family has been hugely supportive of letting me stay in my nightgown until late morning writing away. When I get out (and get dressed), I love to garden and sit on the dock to read. Of course, that’s hard to do during a Maine winter.

My luck is holding out: the weather is still mild and warm (26-28 Celsius) with blinding sunshine and clear blue skies, and I soak up the lingering summer ray of sunshine as much as I can, I already fear the long gray autumn months :-/

Welcome to this week’s news post – we have covers galore and news about Amazon’s long awaited library lending programme.
The major news this week is that of Amazon’s library lending has been launched finally this week and is out of Beta. More than 11 thousand libraries will be able to offer library books and Kindle features such as margin notes and bookmarks will be available. To find out more info and what libraries are involved click here. Note it is only US libraries right now that offer this service at the moment.
Amazon has also did a bit of a facelift at their site – making it more streamlined and tablet friendly. This is probably in preparation for their upcoming release of the Kindle Tablet.
