The Lakeside Winner Post

Summer is raging with such hot weather as 36-40 C here, so for this weekend we decided with the family to go to the lake and spend the hot sunny days hiking in the shades and chilling at the lakeside (well chilly is relative since the lake was about 28 C). Since there were family friends and kids I couldn’t read much, but we had a great time soaking up the sun, tasting wines and talking the nights away. 😀

The BBQing Winner Post
Hey Everyone!
Summer has finally come back after last week’s chilly and rainy days, so we try to make the most of it, by hosting daily BBQs! lol 😀 We had 4 BBQs last week and I just can’t grow tired of the grilled steaks and fresh summer salads mmm… Yesterday I made a quite exotic and unusual recipe: minty watermelon and cucumber salad. Well let me tell you not only was it delicious, but even my dad who’s not really fond of salads loved it 😀 So if you are looking for something fresh and quick, but healthy and special try it!

The Post-Vacation Winner Post

I’m back!! Well the vacation didn’t turn out as we have planned in several accounts: finally we didn’t get to go to Southern France but instead went to visit some breathtakingly beautiful castles in the Loire valley and the weather was grey and November-like chilly, but we still had a great time gorging on delicious French food and touring chateaux! 😀

The Pre-Vacation Winner Post
Hi Everyone! As you can see from today’s post title I’m about to leave on vacation, yay me!! Well I still have to work Monday and Tuesday but after that we’ll fly to Brussels spend a day or two there (I plan on visiting my favourite tea shop and stocking up on delicious teas like Tango with the Cactus, doesn’t it sound so exciting? well except if you picture the tango as having fallen into a cactus and then hopping around trying to pull out all the needles, lol 😉 ) and afterwards we’ll spend a week in Southern France, Provence! The Soupy Winner Post
Hi Everyone!
My family has gone on a mini vacation so I have the house to myself this weekend!! Yay!! 😀 I just love the peace and quiet and that I could spend the day in PJs if I wanted 😉 And the weather is perfect, so I know what I’ll be doing in the afternoon: soaking up the sun with a great book 😀 But first I’ll be cooking. You might know that I LOVE cooking and baking, and we have a small herb garden. Yesterday morning I thought it was time to harvest our basilic, oregano, thym and mint, so the kitchen was full of the enticing scent of freshly chopped herbs. And you want to know what I did with them? I made some virgin mojito (=minty lemonade) and minty pea cream soup, a meal I discovered this week at a restaurant and one I instantly fell in …
