My Wishlist: The Older YA Edition

So recently I have had a thing with Older YA books, you know, the ones that really aren’t suitable for younger teens because of their drug addictions, suicide missions and pregnancies…
So today I am going to share with you my top 3 Older YA wishlisht books…

Clara’s relationship with Christian is intense from the start, and like nothing she’s ever experienced before. But what starts as devotion quickly becomes obsession, and it’s almost too late before Clara realizes how far gone Christian is—and what he’s willing to do to make her stay.
Now Clara has left the city—and Christian—behind. No one back home has any idea where she is, but she still struggles to shake off her fear. She knows Christian won’t let her go that easily, and that no matter how far she runs, it may not be far enough….

I have heard marvellous things about this book, I can’t wait to get my hands on it…and that cover…absolutely beautiful!

Dylan has a bad-boy past and a criminal record. He knows that rich, beautiful Jess is way too good for him—but she has always been the one person who sees through his tough exterior and straight to his heart, and he has been hopelessly in love with her from the first time they met. He would change his life for a chance with her.
But trouble follows Dylan wherever he goes, and a deadly mistake soon forces him to hit the road and leave his dreams behind. He’s on the run and in search of answers—answers to questions he wishes he’d never asked.

As soon as I saw this cover, I fell in love with it. As soon as I read the description, I had to have it. Take Me There is one of those books that as soon as you look at it…your gut wrenches and you get butterflies…this is what reading is all about.

Owen, Frank, Audrey, and Jin-Ae have one thing in common: they all want to die. When they meet online after each attempts suicide and fails, the four teens make a deadly pact: they will escape together on a summer road trip to visit the sites of celebrity suicides…and at their final destination, they will all end their lives. As they drive cross-country, bonding over their dark impulses, sharing their deepest secrets and desires, living it up, hooking up, and becoming true friends, each must decide whether life is worth living—or if there’s no turning back.

***

I just want to know how it ends! One of them must do it right?! I also want to get into their heads, figure out exactly what’s going through their minds as they embark on this trip.

So what is on your wishlist at the moment?

Have you read any of the above?

Do you want to?

I've had Crash Into Me sitting on my bookshelf for so long now and I really should read it soon.

After reading "Split" by Swati Avasthi and "We Were There" by Matt de la Pena, I had backed off from books about troubled teens for a while.

I still have many YA books in my TBR pile but I'm picking the paranormal ones to read for now.
