Book Blurb:

Fire up your love of romance with Montana Rose, where Cassie Griffin, a seemingly spoiled pregnant woman, is widowed one day and wedded the next. Marrying handyman Red Dawson seems the only alternative to Cassie’s being hitched to a brutal rancher. But can this “china doll” bear exchanging smooth silk for coarse calico? Red was reluctant to be yoked to an unbeliever, but sometimes a man has no choice. Will Red change Cassie’s heart by changing her name? Wade Sawyer is obsessed with saving Cassie from a marriage of convenience. How far will he go make her his own?

All YA Love: Interview with Bonnie Doerr

It is our pleasure to have had an opportunity to talk with Bonnie Doerr, author of Island Sting.

Tell us a bit about ISLAND STING.

Telling about a novel I wrote should be an easy thing for me to do, right? But the book has been described so many ways by readers that I often don’t know how to approach this request. And, honestly, it’s more about what the book is to readers than what it is to me. So first I’ll use the thoughts and words of others to talk about it.

To ground the story, ISLAND STING is a contemporary adventure/mystery novel set in the Florida Keys. Though it’s often included on lists of YA reads (these days YA seems to stretch up to college age), it’s more for younger teens and tweens.

I get a kick out of stringing …

Book Blurb:What if you had only one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?

Samantha Kingston has it all—looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12th should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it’s her last. The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. In fact, she re-lives the last day of her life seven times, until she realizes that by making even the slightest changes, she may hold more power than she had ever imagined.

My thoughts:One night Samantha Kingston was a typical teenager, out with friends. She was part of the ‘in’ crowd and everyone was headed to a house party. But on the …

Interview: Author, John Locke

We are happy to have John Locke, author of the Donovan Creed series, here today to answer our questions.

The Sexy Lover: Hello John. Thanks for letting me ‘grill’ you. I have read all three novels in your Donovan Creed series which I think are wonderful.
John Locke: Thank you. I’m honored to hear you say that.

The Sexy Lover: Of the three so far which has been your favorite?
John Locke: Probably Saving Rachel, since it moves so quickly. I really like the twists and turns, and feel it is more in line with the type of books I’ll be writing in the future.

The Sexy Lover: Which was the hardest to write or gave you the most trouble?
John Locke: Lethal Experiment was a very difficult write because I got too much input. By the time I finished, I’d used three …

Geekdom of Books: Foreign Releases

This post is really just my opinion on what can go wrong when a book gets published in Germany.

And believe me that happens more than you think. And yes, I’m aware of this just being the minority but it makes me angry nonetheless.

It’s a totally subjective post and I can only speak for German releases.
No idea how it works in other countries.

1. Inventing a new English Title for the German edition

Okay I’m not thinking about anything as hilarious as “The Playboy Sheikh’s Virgin Stable-Girl“and other wonderful Harlequin Presents creations but the things we get here in Germany are sometimes rather mind boggling. I can understand when an English book gets a German title cuz that’s what we all would expect but why would they change a English title into another English …
